The Partnership for Drug-Free Kids is hosting its annual Winter Wish Gala at the Gotham Hotel in New York City December 4, 2018.
Patrick J. Kennedy, lead sponsor of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, founder of The Kennedy Forum, and former Rhode Island Congressman, will be honored with the James E. Burke Award, named for Chairman Emeritus of the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids and conferred in recognition of the awardee’s support of the Partnership’s mission to support children and families struggling with substance use.
According to the Partnership’s website, the event will be emceed by journalist Soledad O’Brien. It will bring together more than 300 guests and will raise funds for American families served by the Partnership for Drug-Free Kids. Other honorees, who will receive Corporate Citizenship Awards, include Google, Hearst, and Jazz Pharmaceuticals.
